So I was curious as to why my new WC snail was staying in the same spot for an entire day (because usually she is far more active, sliming every part of the enclosure). Well, I lifted her up to find that she was in the midst of laying eggs. Any recommendations on the optimal conditions for these eggs to grow? I know humidity is obvious, but that's a given for gastropods at any life stage, so that's already covered. Any other forms of advice would be much appreciated!

Oooo lucky! I'd love to have a few snails but I'm not sure that we get them around here. Haven't come across them anyway.

I'm guessing the care for snail eggs is probably the same for slugs - what I did with those was put them into a small closed container filled with moist cocofiber and that was it. The temperature plays a part in how fast they'll hatch but I don't think it really matters with room temp. The slug eggs I believe took around 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for the input. I'll see if I can scoop them out when she finally finishes laying them!
