Can these interbreed? G. Oblongonata and G. Portentosa
My colony appears to have both species in it.
I recently bumped my colony with a purchase from here HappyHissers.com and there appears to be both species. Not too worried about it, just curious.

Which species did you buy/ is it supposed to be, and why do you think you have a mix? G. portentosa are highly variable by nature.

I was supposed to get portentosa. I think they are a mix because several have very dark coloration like oblongonata. And the seller admitted to having escapees that may have infiltrated other containers.

Hard to say. They could possibly hybridize, but portentosa can make dark nymphs and adults- that's where the 'black hissers' come from (portentosa, not grandidieri- grandidieri have a natural black form).

True G.oblongonota are brick red as adults, and nymphs are black with white spots on the "shoulders".

2 color forms of what? There is only one of G. oblongonota unless it was mized with grandidieri or portentosa that I know of. And for the G.portentosa, there are many color forms, not just 2. (I can think of 6 at least).
