Hey all! Hopefully will be getting a pair of GTP juveniles soon!

Please post all the info you have on them (including temps, humidity, agression, care, dimensions for enclosure for adult specimen) and any photos you have!

I think they are the most stunning snakes (pity they're AU$5000 each... :wall:)

Hey Phil, are you spending $10,000 on two snakes!? I haven't ever kept them so don't know anything bout set-up or care, but I read that they can be fairly aggressive as far as Aussie pythons go.

Some chondros are aggressive, some are quite shy...it depends on the individual. Some locales like Biaks which sport high yellow colors are notoriously nasty...super mean snakes. Others like the Aru isle locale, are normally sweet and docile although I've had my run-ins with some nasty ones as well. They are all individuals.

I'm not sure if you can legally own a chondro in Australia...the Aussie's come from Iron Range up north.

yeah, my Wamena locale is as vicious as they come.

but good luck with what is in my opinion, the best looking snake money can buy.

Of course we can. They're Aussie natives.

We just can't import them, so we don't get all those weird locales.

I was under the impression that you couldn't keep certain natives either...my bad. Good luck, hope you get some nice ones!

Oh sorry mate. Yeah you're right, there are some natives you either can't own, or need an upgraded licence. But in my state Green Tree Pythons are on the basic level 1 licence.
