Great news! My large jumping spider (P. audax) has emerged from it's silk den after it had sealed itself in there, and I just fed it a small cricket. I'm so happy! =D ;P

How big is your large jumping spider? Cool, how long has it bin since last seeing it?

I think she's probably a little over 1/2", and she had sealed herself inside the silk cocoon since late fall. I guess that's something they do every year around here in Northern California.

No, she didn't lay eggs! I should have mated her with the male I had last year, and he died in the fall.
