We just removed and opened our L. Parabana's egg sac and even though there are a few dead ones there are thousand and most are fine!! Lots are eggs with legs and they've just been moved into an incubator! Fingers crossed!!
And this was our first attempt!

With a brood that size, normaly a big percentage of them actually exist as snack for stronger siblings. You should let them together for a few molts, and keep only the best specimens.

How many eggs can a Lp have? Ive seen in the breeding reports that G. pulchripes can have like 500 eggs and beign much larger could an adult female have a thousand eggs (as im assuming the "couple thousand" was a bit of an exaggeration)?

Nope, no exaggeration at all. If you breed LPs you had better have TONS of free time beforehand because you'll need it when those eggs become slings. These guys can have 2500+ babies.

Question to suppliers - how on earth do you get all the vials, heat and cold packs that are needed for new slings w/o going into debt?

Hopefully the breeder has done their homework, knows what to expect, and prepares for it. Sales help recover costs of supplies.
