Grasshopper(unusual pattern)

Here is a grasshopper I found patrolling a dirt road awhile back.

I am not sure of the species.

I wonder if it's not belonging to the Family, Pamphagidae?
How big is the grasshopper and where in South Africa did you find it?

Its about 60 mm long and I found it in the North West province.
