I have a grass spider that has laid a sac, and I've had her since this spring when she was really tiny. The fact that she made eggs at all amazes me, I would think they would be infertile though, with several moults and no males introduced.

I have another smaller female which also laid a sac, and since I only had her for a week, I'd suspect that one to be fertile if any.

How long is it before these eggs are going to hatch, will they overwinter, or just hatch if I keep them at the same room temperature?

What really surprised me is that both females laid their sacs at the same time!, both my recently caught one, and the one I raised from a spiderling!

Hi,

You should specify your question with scientific names and also country if you want accurate answers. Many spiders are called grass spiders, for example Tibellus oblongus which is a Philodromid. But I think you mean Agelenopsis or Agelena. The Palearctic Agelena labyrinthica builds an egg nest in autumn and guards the eggsac inside the nest until she dies in late autumn. The spiderlings (which are relatively large and about 50-100 ind.) hatch in september (northern Europe) but do not leave the eggsac until the sun starts to shine in april. The spiderlings can, however, be waken up any time during winter if they are brought inside. The biology for Agelenopsis is probably quite similar.
The eggs of your female will not hatch. I have also had females reared from juv. which layed sterile eggs.

And now I noticed that the title of your thread was grass funnel web spider so now I know you mean Agelena or Agelenopsis... :)
