Ok so I'm considering getting a G. pulchripes. But I have a G. rosea, so I don't know if I want another Grammostola species. Any thoughts about this species? Do they act like a G. rosea? Or are they more active? Do you have to worry about humidity, or just keep it on dry substrate with full water dish? Should I get one, or go for something else?

Just a water dish, no real worries about humidity :) And they aren't the world's most active tarantula, but I see my slings & my MF out all the time.

The pluses are they are generally calm, very fuzzy, fairly large, & so colorful after a fresh molt :D What's not to love?

They do seem great, I just don't want to get a tarantula that is exactly like my G. rosea, only with some stripes on there legs. But right now I'm kinda 75% sure I want to get one. I was gonna get an old world, but there kinda expensive for my budget right now.

Huh? You can find P. regalis, H. maculata, & P. murinus for under $10? Look around & you can probably get an OW sling for under $10 & a G. pulchripes sling also for under $10.

I love my (adult female) G. pulchripes, but to be quite honest she doesn't move much (even less than my G. rosea). My G. pulchra, on the other hand, is very active, but the'yre not the cheapest. If you're only planning on getting one new T right now, and you want something different, I would go with a sling of any of the species that NikiP mentioned. OBTs and H. macs are absurdly cheap.
