Gotta love new slings! :D

Got yet another package in today! (don't worry, I'm finally winding down on getting new ones, for now. I think. LOL)

I got 3 P. lugardi and 3 B. vagans slings, as well as two OBT juvies from Omar (bigo).. plus an H. mac freebie!

SO excited! LOL

I wasn't able to get pictures of any of the Ts yet.. I was in a hurry to unpack and get the kitchen counter cleared off before everyone got home LOL

My mum was around to help... she's not a bug lover, but she's fascinated by MY love for them, and she was a GREAT helper getting two VERY lively OBTs safely into new enclosures and wrangling an escapee P. lugardi

I'll get pictures as soon as I can... but yall know what these sp. look like anyways lol

They ARE quick! I got lax towards the end.. if I was paying attention like I normally do, it probably wouldn't have gotten loose. But he didn't get far before I caught him, luckily lol

Right on, those will be some cool Ts. I got 5 Lasiodora Parahybana 1/4 in and 5 Lasiodora difficilis 1/4 in yesterday and am getting 5 GBB slings tomorrow from robc

Yeah, I'm excited for the baboons to grow up. I have my two adult female P. lugardi and another P. lugardi sling.. but I want to breed this sp. eventually, and I couldn't pass up the awesome prices on these guys!

Of course, the OBTs are just awesome and you can't have enough! haha

These are my first B. vagans, and only my second brachys... I was basically talked into it lol

And if this H. mac grows as slow as my other one, I'm going to rip my hair out!!

It's always cool hearing other people's tastes in Ts... Lasiodora's and GBBs aren't my style, that's for sure lol

The mom wrangling OBT's is awesome too......sounds like you had a good day!!!

Even though I'm not much of a terrestrial lover, the semi-arboreal spp. like C. fasciatum, and GBB's are something else. GBB's, in particular, are like a less defensive / less potent OBT.....C. fasciatum is a smaller, semi-tropical version of that. You won't need decorations either.....these guys do a nice job of decorating on their own, and are almost always out in the open!!!!

LOL the new H. mac has already burrowed!
My mum was looking at the finished products... paused, looked closer... picked up the container, and screeched, "JAIRI!!! It's NOT in HERE!!"
I sighed dramatically, said, "Of course it's in there, you just can't see it without your glasses. It's right... *takes the container*... right.. where the heck IS the lil bugger?!" :?
And then I see little toes poking out of a hole in the corner

I got a few shots of the B. vagans, but I'm not prepared to take the lids of deli cups to photograph P. lugardi lightning bolts yet LOL

hellraizor.. how long did it take your vagans to reach 2"? LOL And wow, an adult male! I wouldn't even try giving something that size to anything less than an adult T.. I'm a wimp, I don't want my Ts to get hurt haha

I guess i expected the lugardi speed because of what people have said and they videos i have watched and i should have know about the h.mac its know nfor it but it was pretty crazy to see in person.

i LOVE that enclosure with the cork!! very cool...I am excited for my first slings too...they will be on thier way shortly as I put the money in the mail the other day...I always have gotten adults but hte joy of slings seems to be contagious! Mine are 3 Poecilotheria fasciata..I cant wait!! yours are very cute..lol

Before these guys, I'd only had experience with one P. lugardi sling... and while he's zippy, he's not all out FAST. The two adult girls, don't both with running LOL

Thanks!! The majority of my slings are in cubes like that.. it's a ton of fun to make them, and you can always reuse them when a sling outgrows them! lol

And congrats on your first slings being on their way! Most of my Ts are slings - as in, probably 35 out of 40 LOL and it's always awesome watching them grow up!
