Not in cases where only a dismal percentage of wild collected individuals survive, no, especially when captive bred ones are readily available. In cases like these, people who buy wc spiders are either too weak to resist what's in front of them or don't have the patience to raise a spiderling, and even that's assuming they think about their options first. People who buy big and common wild caught monitors and boids are the same way; they might as well buy a pair of snakeskin boots. A bitchin tattoo is a better investment.Originally posted by Sean

So the bet is on, how long will Ms.Brown live..?
First off I definatly have the patience to raise a sling, I probably have 15 slings right now... I just raised a 1 inch blondi into a four almost five incher and it ended up dieing so, no you don't know that a CB one will be alive in a year... and what makes you so sure that mine won't. we have had it in the shop for two months now and I am positive it is healthy. allmost everyone here has at least one wild caught spider, and yes I would rather have a CB one but If I can get a WC one for 80 bucks then I would rather I give it the best last year it could possibly have, than have some moron buy it and poke it with a stick to watch it get pissed off. so don't bitch at me ok.Originally posted by defour
