This female has been out of her burrow for a couple weeks now. I thought she was dead, but she was still alive. Then i noticed a cyst on her abdomen. Now today i found her molted out. The cyst is still there, but i thought i would share some rarely seen pics of a very fresh female.

Its on the rear right side of her abdomen. I tried to keep it out of the shots, just to not diminish her beauty. I might try and get one of it though.

I'm sure she appreciates the effort to keep the camera on her good side. I would be interested in seeing that cyst though. Did it improve at all with the molt or is it the same size?

Do you think the cyst, molting, and burrow abandonment are partially or wholly coincidental? Or perhaps not correlated at all? Just curious, trapdoors are fascinating! :)

It doesnt look like it improved. But hard to say what will happen. Ill try to get a pic of it sometime. I hope she goes back into her burrow, makes me nervous that she is now staying out like this.
