Good Pet Agamas ?

As opposed to the much larger Chinese Water Dragon, what agamid lizard is a good pet and doesn't get too big? (Around 6 inches at the most) :?

If you mean 6" including tail, I don't think you'll find much. I've seen wild Agama agama africana (African Rainbow Lizard) all around this middle school near my house but they're far too fast to catch and around 1' from head to tail. According to wikipedia (not very reliable) there are 5" specimens, but I'm not sure which species they're referring to.

ive seen a show on the Discovery/Animal Planet channel with the Agama agama africana in it and they are AMAZING.... really beautiful and, if i remember right, run in packs? i wish i could get some of THOSE as pets

You are correct, they're TONS of them. I've tried to catch some but they retreat into the stonewalls around the middle school.
