I am used to tarantulas, but recently Ive been getting interested in jumping spider. I caught 2 local spiders to try out what its like keeping jumpers. I have an adult female E militaris I think, and a juvenile P audax.

Im going on vacation with my family that will last a week. Ive read that jumping spiders need to be fed every 2-3 days. Is it okay for them to go without food for a week? If not, can I just drop say 10 fruit flies in their enclosures and that will tide them over for the week?

They only need to be fed every 7-10 days. One big meal will be perfectly fine for a week. The faster you feed your spiders, the faster they mature and die. They absolutely do not need to be fed every 3 days. Juvies are more often, but they're perfectly able to go a week without food if they eat a big meal.
