I asked a local reptile store if I could keep some of their snake sheds for my isopods to eat and was wondering if I would need to bake them incase of any hitchhikers or such?

Not unless you see something, mites maybe is the only thing I can think of. Are you worried about something specific?
Submerging things in water for 24h is better, it won't burn up nutrients or microbes/fungi, but will drown any invertebrates present. Great for moss, leaves, etc.

your snakes' husbandry should be much cleaner than your isopods . I wouldnt worry much. I add shed skins to isopods as well, but always on the dry side. just in case mold or something. mold on animal materials in closed boxes with little air flow I think is the key aspect to pay attention to.

Yeah I had read snake skin gets kinda gross if wet overtime so I'll be sure to keep it on dry side.

No I was just wondering if it was necessary just like when you put cork or leaves into their enclosure. I read wetting snake skin isn't the best tho it gets gross?

less gross than many animal products. can just put less in. I add spider sheds, lizard etc to isopods. just for something to chew more than anything. they seem to enjoy it enough. I just dont want a multi layered clump of wet snake skin hanging around too long. but that I suppose depends how may isopods you have
