I have been in love with this species forever. Here are some of my offsprings and breeders.

Uroplatus fimbriatus
There are unfortunately plenty of WC for sale but very few make it for long in captivity. They are horribly sensitive to dehydration and warm temperatures.

You will rarely see any CBB for sale...they are not commonly bred and when successful many breeders exchange bloodlines amongst themselves. Every now and then you may see them but it's still unfortunately a rarity. I'm working on it...

Awesome I never seen a pic of a baby(great work!), fimbriatus is the biggest specie correct? I cant wait until these get more established, I think I might have seen pics of fimbriatus around 1ft. long or close maybe(I cant remember). Its cool though that breeders are diversifying their stock first, great idea imo.

What temps do you incubate eggs at, or do you keep them cool?

Yes, most fimbriatus easily reach 12" with tail...I have a male over 13" but it's most tail...not like R. leachianus which is like a Sumo wrestler.

I incubate my eggs in my basement actually where the temperature rarely goes above 70 all year round. On average I keep my Uroplatus eggs at 66F.

wow little wonder they do so poorly in captivity needing those temps. People in the Pacific NW or coastal CA ought to try them.

Any luck raising babies or F2 for anyone?

Nice Pic! that looks like it could be a Mossy Leaf Tail (U. sikorae sp.). I keep those too..here's a breeding pic from the other night.

There have indeed been F2's of various species by some dedicated breeders...very few of them in the US though. Europeans have had greater success with this genus.

That one was a good 9-10 inches so i think it was U. fimbriatus. Ranomafana has both fimbriatus and sikorae (and ebenaui but thats definitely not it) I love this genus. it was great working with them there. wish i had the time and facilities to care for them here.
