While to the public this is an outstandingly large specimen, to hobbyists, FW's of this size are not uncommon at all, I know many keepers with them this size and larger

@RezonantVoid Interesting appearance - coloration, contrasting difference between the connective tissues and the exoskeletal plates and legs. How common is that in the genus or family? Or maybe it's the spectrum of the light in those shots?

Not particularly uncommon, most of mine have white joint tissue, the really interesting ones are the red colour forms

Illawarra wisharti, admittedly this monotypic species is always red but Hadronyche and Atrax can on occasion also possess the same colour scheme
