Last I heard the sub-family Erycinae was under revision and the genus Eryx in particular. Taxonomists/herpetologists were moving some (or perhaps all) of the members into a new genus (Gongylophis). However, since I'm neither a herpetologist nor a taxonomist, I will continue to call these boids by the genus name I speak, hear, and read most often -Eryx. If there is anyone here with an intimate knowledge of this taxon, please share the info...
That being said, I know there are some fellow sand boa fanatics out there, so perhaps we could compile an album to rival those in the T forums, eh? Yes... wishful thinking....
First pic: Adult Breeders (1.1.0 E. colubrinus; amelanistic male and normal female).
Second pic: E. colubrinus, 275 gram amelanistic female.
Third pic: 1.3.0 E. colubrinus, anerythristc quartet (sub-adults).
Fourth pic: E. conicus, sub-adult female.
Fifth pic: E. conicus, sub-adult male.
