Gecko identification

Hi guys,

anyone know what kind of gecko this might be?
my roommate found it outside of a cafe in birmingham.

yer its a MEDITERRANEAN HOUSE GECKO (Hemidactylus turcicus) but whats it doing outside a cafe in birmingham. :?

I thought it was probably some type of house gecko, but I don't know a lot about them.

Perhaps it was an escaped pet, or released for pest control?

those are pretty common throughout East Texas and parts east of Texas I have sometimes used them as feeders
