From the markings on your palm, I can for-see that you'll return to this post to see what people think of the spider

Phsyic Boy strikes again

Nice picture! I'm guessing that's around 1.5-2" is it? Just curious as to when the purdy colours emerge. What's the tempremant like on them? Many a times I've read how hard it is to get them to remain stationary

Mine is a tad bit skittish, although not nearly as skittish as my L. cristata.

You should get one.

Yeah they're pretty hard to get hold of in the UK; Wanting a GBB seems the cliché of every keeper here! :D

I managed to get two spiderlings last week, both around the 12mm mark :D Just waiting till they grow now!

great pic!
Ours wasn't too skittish at that age. Now, he'll just run all over the place.
They are handlable, if you don't mind them doing a runner before settling down!

looks to me as if by the color of the legs that little bugger is gonna molt soon that usually what mine looks like before it molts since it has never had a bald patch yet as for getting the adult colorst they really dont start to show those till they reach about the 3 inch mark

Strange thing about GBBS is that their legs go from dark to green to blue...

My GBB has lost the striped abdomen, it is about 3.5", very skittish.

Mines a bit skittish too but I hold it anyway.

When it comes to catching prey he/she almost always misses his/her mark because she runs at it so quickly! Takes her a couple of tries to snatch the cricket or superworm.

Was she caught in the wild? If so she could be gravid.

Are you ready to be a mommy to lots of baby GBBs? :D

I am not sure if she is caught in the wild.. I bought it to a guy and did not ask :(

How much time do I have to wait to see if she is gravid? ... Now I am scared... I do not know anything about gravid Ts... and what I am going to do with all that babys . I do not think I can find so many peoples here that want Ts

Ahhhhh I am not ready to be a babys GBB mommy

Well since GBBs are from your area (right?) you could just release them all in the forest...

yes

Your right jake...but the fatality rate will be very high....I say..keep some slings..get some people into Ts..Give them one or Two.. Realease the rest into the wild...hopefully they would do ok and not get eaten by predators (wich is highly possible:() any ways I wish I lived in Venezuela so you could give me some :)

have a nice day
