Sometimes slings will pass, not all will make it but to ensure that there was nothing wrong husbandry-wise, can you give a description of how you were keeping it and provide a pic of the T's enclosure if you still have one?

I cant provide a pic at the moment but i can try to explain what kind of environment he was in, first because of his small size it was kept in a small roughly 2 or 3 inch tall pill bottle with dry sub and an stick for an anchor point id give it a drop of water every so often cause it gets pretty warm in out apartment, the little guy was active and eating well after his last molt in November but then he just refused food one day no biggie but then poof just up and dead 😔

Thing could've used some more room. I personally keep a small bottle cap as a water dish with all my slings. Helps stave off dehydration.

Are you sure that it didn’t molt? What you showed looks a bit like a molt.

This is an incredibly easy species to raise. I’ve raised many.

Either you did something wrong OR something happened beyond your control

Normal air holes in the lid
May I suggest no tall pill bottle. That mostly for arboreal species. That little deli cup just get bigger ones as it grows. Perfect for slings. I currently have a gbb sling in one. Vicious little eater. That or you can do a setup like the ones I have for my slings.

When my C. cyaneopubescens were very tiny slings I didn't keep em bone dry. I kept a moist bottom layer if substrate on about half the enclosure. Which can be hard to do in such a small container.you dont want it swampy at all just half damp mine were kept in dram vials [withjust pin holes in the lid} then progressed to small deli cups as they got a little larger.

i fed pre-killed small prey items parts there of when really tiny.{think cricket drum sticks} Generally they seemed to be pretty tough, voracious lil eaters, growing and molting quickly.
don't be too hard on yourself. sometimes slings die . But can I recommend "Tom's" sling husbandry guide if you haven't checked it out.
pm me if you haven't seen it and have trouble finding it on you tube

Where did you get those containers? I need some new ones for a few growing slings and I'd like something better looking than the usual deli cups I use.

They were pricey I got them during Black Friday it’s a small business called tarantula Cribs. Beautiful displays tho. Tarantulacribs.com I’m gonna order some more cuz they also have another sale. If you order use code TTC10 to at least get 10 percent off. If you follow tarantula collective on IG sometimes he puts the 15 percent code during specials like Black Friday they offered one for 15 but TTC10 never expires.

So no ventilation holes on the sides of the enclosure?
Would like to say after reading through this thread again that in my experience this isn't necessary for arid slings. In fact I've never added anything but a hole or two in the lid for all the ones I've raised in dram vials. I've even raised avic slings this way, as does a very experienced breeder I've been in touch with in the past.
