Im setting up a GBB enclosure and looking for some opinions on what Im planning on doing.

The specimen is a 6cm female, the enclosure is a large fuanarium or 3Liter really useful box, I linked some pictures.

Planning on keeping it on dry eco earth about 4 inches deep, cork bark hide, some fake plants for anchor points and water dish.

My main concern is the enclosure a bit big? I have a smaller 3 liter really useful box, dimensions are 7.5 inches long, 5.6 wide and 4.7 high, but feel this is on the small side, I figured since it is has a medium growth rate it wont be long growing into the bigger enclosure, any thoughts or opinions?

For a heavy webbing tarantula such as Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens, it is more than okay to put it in a bit larger than usual enclosure.

I tend to put heavy webbing tarantulas in larger enclosures myself.

Would she be comfortable in this for the rest of her life or will she need an upgrade?

I have an adult female and she is (and has been) in a 20 x 10 x 7 enclosure, plenty of things to web and a split level set up. She is doing quite well

That is solely up to you. You are the keeper of your tarantula. Should you decide to go even larger enclosure in coming future? Good. If not? I am sure your tarantula won’t mind.

the large faunarium will work, add plenty of dirt and do a multilevel with some branches. I would also suggest some grape branches in a tunnel like shape at the entrance of the burrow for anchor points.
You an see what mine did with them (top left of photo)

So this is my set up so far, opinions welcome:

Nearly double the substrate depth and then cover the log hide in dirt so there is a platform on top. Have more than 1 level, as Karo said, yours is pretty 2D, also that hide looks pretty shallow. It needs to be deep enough the T can get inside. Here is an earlier photo of my set up. Note how big / deep the hide area is in comparison to get (and she is big). My cage us lower so it didn't beed as much depth. The entire enclosure is webbed bow and her hide goes nearly all the way back to the glass. So she has a platform on top of her hide to hang out, to the above of the hide entrance you can see the ramp of substrate leading up there Cali Breed 1.jpg

So I have this branch that I was going to use for my snake but never needed it, It's been boiled and scrubbed a couple of times and has been in a bag in my shed for a couple of months now, was thinking of cutting it down and fitting it to the enclosure, this branch was picked from a local wood near me, would this be safe to use?

most likely yes. Toss in the freezer for a couple days to ensure a solid kill off

This is my set up, not entirely happy with it, I'm considering an exo terra large flat fuanarium instead to offer more floor space, a lower more terrestrial set up, any thoughts?

I would just shorten the legs of the stick so it is closer to the top of her enclosure. That way she'll web it and make a tunnel. Is the plant fake> Because it too will be webbed

More sticks. And a water dish a little away from the anchor points, so it won't get webbed over so quickly.
