Nacho has been getting food (a half-pound of Safe-Choice), plenty of hay, and lots of attention, and the little mare that I remember has come back. She's already put on about 50 pounds and is slowly starting to fill out. She's had coggins pulled and shots.
I've been riding her and she's been working great. Little 20-30 minute sessions seem to be working wonders. Hopefully she'll eventually have a topline again. lol She's as sound as she ever was! Remembers all of her training, too.
And just for fun, here's my fat-as-a-tick mare, Allie. This one doesn't miss any meals.
