Hey all. I have a question about my g rosea, she is standing up on her legs really high in the corner. I have no idea what she's doing but any replies would be appreciated.

Is the substrate moist at all?

G. rosea prefers bone-dry substrate and will look like it is standing "on tippy-toes" if it is unhappy with the substrate.

Is she eating?

ok sorry. I've had her a year. She's not trying to climb. I guess you could say that she is using her legs has stilt with her abdomen raised really high.

she hasn't ate for like 6 months she keeps rejecting food but her abdomen is getting really big.

That is the stance they make when they are unhappy with their substrate or spinning a feeding mat, IME.

If you have left any crickets in there with her, grab a magnifying glass and check for pinheads.

Check out my recent thread entitled "What's up-besides her butt?" (sorry--I don't know how to link it to this post) There's pics there--they're probably what yours is doing...scroll down and check out her impression of an octopus-lol! She did this for a week! :?

my g. rosea will sometimes stand up on her tippy toes (but her butt wont be up like in bonesmamas pics) when shes eating, i dont know why. its kind of funny to watch tho. her substrate is definatly bone dry. and she has spun her floor web. i dont know any other explanation other than its just being weird. :} crazy rose hairs...
