Last week sometime, I wrote to try and find out what was wrong with my mature male G. rosea ("Stressed out Rosie"). He was tearing up his enclosure and seemed quite agitated. Well, most of you said he was either looking to build a sperm web, or looking for a female. I raised the substrate (so he didn't kill himself slipping all over the walls) and changed his flower pot hide to one that was about 1/2 the size. He calmed down right away, and about 3 days later, he did this:

I knew what he was doing right away, I'm just lucky that I was home to witness it all! :D

Interesting. I had no idea that male T's did this. After reading your post I googled "Sperm Web" to learn more about this activity as I found this to be rather bizarre. Well, after sifting through tons of "inapropriate" sites, and researching several decent ones ... I have come to the conclusion that this is not rather bizarre, but really bizarre. Thanks for the leason. :shifty eyes:

Welp, at least I will know if my T starts doing this. I won't freak out.

Yeah, when I told my sister (who gave him to me) and my mom (who loves my T's) about it, they were totally confused and kept saying "he did WHAT?!?!" I had to explain it to my sister about 4 times... I even had to kind of act it out for her because she just could NOT get it. That was funny. :D

they are a beautiful couple! I hope they make you proud :)

I just recieved a mature male also, and I already had 2 mature females. Just waiting for him to make a sperm web :)

Oh, and thanks for the compliment :)

Edit: are you as nervous as I am to introduce them? LOL {D

YES! Totally! I don't want my baby to get crunched and I want everything to go smoothly. I've had the female for a few days now and she seems pretty calm. Hopefully all will go well - I'm planning the "affair" for this weekend, when I have the time to devote to monitoring them. :)
