G. rosea sling behaviour

Hello all!

I recently posted about my curly hair, but if it's okay, I have another question!

Most of my slings like to stay in one place and seem mostly relaxed, but my G, rosea, although it doesn't 'run about', seems like it moves from place to place around its enclosure. I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with the enclosure (it's not different to the other T's). My only concern might be that the sub is too moist, but I don't think that's the case because the sling likes to hang out behind the damp moss. The sling hasn't eaten either. All very mysterious!

A G. rosea not eating is as mysterious as humans breathing.

A substrate that's too moist is most definitely a possible reason for it walking around too much.

Here's a pic of the enclosure and sling by the damp moss. Doesn't seem as settled as my other slings!

Photo perspective makes it seem like this is a huge enclosure.

how to space out things: a space for water bowl, a space for hide, a space for tarantula to stretch. Does not need more.

It's a 4 inch cube and the sling is only 2cm maximum, so you're right I was a bit naive when I first got it. The other slings seem absolutely fine with these enclosures. Some have burrowed under huge mountains of dirt. But this one seems less happy. Shall I move it into something smaller?

Maybe my .6” a genic sling is in this.

Keep small slings in small enclosures. its that easy.

My rosea sling is a poor eater too and it's only moulted once in the 15 months I've had it, perfectly normal for this species.
