Is some drainage in the bottom of a plant pot better than no drainage at all?

Better question, what do you think the hole in the bottom of a plant pot is for? Do you think it's just to drain water away?

Well wait though, why is the water being in there a bad thing? Most cuttings can be rooted in water, a whole variety of plants can be grown marginally, and hydroponics is a thing afterall, so is that hole in the bottom of the pot truly just for excess water? Trust me, that's a rabbit hole worth following ;).

The specimen appears to be adapting, I'm just offering an explanation for the behavior. I've never modified a KK, so I can't really comment on the feasibility of drilling into one, but they're really not ideal long term enclosures as is IMHO.
What’s the ideal enclosure? Large acrylic are like $100+ each or more I think I don’t have the money to replace any of my cages with those. I’m probably stuck with what I have for a while.

My B. hamorii spends more time on the walls than the substrate. It is actually very annoying but nothing can be done about it.
