My tarantula molted last night -- it's a shame I didn't get to watch it! This is my first T, and this is the first time he's molted in my care, so it's very exciting for me! He doesn't look too much bigger -- his legs look slightly longer, maybe. But then, Pulchra's are pretty slow growers, aren't they?
It's about time he molted, he hasn't eaten in 2+ weeks! I was getting nervous! He was not interested in the crickets at all, so I waited a week. He still had not molted, so I bought some small meal worms (figured they might be easy prey) but he would walk away from them if one of the worms even touched him.
At any rate, I was planning on getting the molt out of his container, but he seems to be either A) snuggling it or B) eating it.
I can take a picture later today hopefully when I borrow a friend's camera (my dear, sweet pitbull ate the charger for mine. At least tarantulas don't destroy your belongings. :wall: )
