For my second T I am thinking of getting a G.pulchra and was wondering what their native habitat looks like. I know they come from brazil, but have heard that they come from dry grasslands instead of rainforest. Is this true?

Mine do very well in a dry environment. Very simple to care for, I don't even use a hide.

It isn't exactly dry, but yes, they live in grasslands here, not rainforests. Brazil isn't a giant rainforests as some think :D

If you have access to the BTS journal there was a really good article on their breeding which I'm sure will contain useful info on the habitat

Just look up the Chaco region of south america. its not just brazil but it covers eastern Bolivia and Paraguay, northern Argentina and a bit of Brazil.
It is a hot, semi arid plain/grassland similar to the savannas of africa.
