Unless they're hungry.
I'm way happy I have her. It took me a while to find a molt-sexed female back when I got her, but she's totally worth it. What a great gal. She's always out and always hungry. Super sweet natured with a curious streak as well. I've had her almost three years now, and she's always a good time.Just be happy you have one! I don’t particularly want one but I hear they are next to impossible to find! I do like the jet black though.
I really recommend them. They're my second favorite grammy, after G. iheringi. So beautiful. This is near the top of my wish list. They are like the black labs of the spooder world.
They lose the red abdomen and then they just look like G. pulchra with a visible mirror patch when they reach adulthood.G. actaeon look a lot like iheringi. BUT when they grow up? They're less leggy and more bulky, like G. iheringi tanks. That's different enough for me.
Oh that's right. It's been a while since I looked them up. Even better! They lose the red abdomen and then they just look like G. pulchra with a visible mirror patch when they reach adulthood.
She totally is a cutie patootie. I think even when she's a massive tank she's gonna be cute.My G. pulchripes Regina has teleported before, but only about one body length. But it was still too fast for my eye to see, so it's something. Also AWWWWWWWWWWWW SHE'S SO CUTE AND WITTLE BITTY I WANNA HOLD HER AND SNUGGLE WITH HER
Yeah, same here. When I open her enclosure she's running all over the place. I hope she settles down as she gets older. If I wanted a zippy spider I would've just bought another TappieMine is anything but slow, it's still a sling but from doing a barrel roll when taking down its food to attacking my tweezers it's surprised me.
Mine too! I guess they have to be fast when they are teeny tiny. Mine had been really docile up until recently too. I know T's have their bipolar moments but considering my first T was meant to be a docile species but is actually spawn of the devil, I feel really betrayed by my pulchraYeah, same here. I'm feeling that betrayal from my Pulchra too. Since his(?) last moult he has been snapping at me and my tongs. I used to do maintenance with my fingers in his(?) enclosure... no more!Mine too! Awww no yours too! Just goes to show that you cannot necessarily categorise T's temperament by species. Sure some species are more inclined to aggression than others but I think they're slightly more complex than they are given credit for, by that I mean they have personalities and moods and so on. They are animals after all.I'm feeling that betrayal from my Pulchra too. Since his(?) last moult he has been snapping at me and my tongs. Also runs like the wind all over when I open the lid and has thrown me a threat pose. Fuzzy black teddy bear my derrière.
Edit: by maintenance I pretty much just meant water dish and object placement. Cleaning and feeding has always been tongs of course.
I agree completely. Definitely more complex than what people think. Always believed that any living creature capable of individuality is "to some degree", intelligent.Awww no yours too!
