Funny spiders named after people

While doing some digging today, I came across two species with Latin names very similar to real-life celebrities. Honestly, one of my new favorite niche little things about naming spiders now.

Heteropoda davidbowie | Named after late English musician and actor David Bowie


Aptostichus barackobamai | Named after former United States President Barack Obama


Ornithoctoninae sp. Ho Chi Minh | Named after former Vietnamese prime minister and revolutionary leader, Ho Chi MInh
Anyone else know of any others?

Trichopelma cheguevarai and Trichopelma fidelcastroi are still my favorites
They were discovered rly recently so basically no info on them yet

In my dreams they make it into the hobby and I can start a socialist spider collection.

Yeah I searched but couldn’t find those threads on new Ts. But last few once.. had lots of cool names.
