Acrochordus granulatus and Erpeton tentaculatum. Anyone experienced keeping these? Such oddballs! I've always been interested... but the greatest oddball of all - the toxic Hydrophis semperi - the only "sea snake" that is land locked in a freshwater lake (Taal, Luzon Philippines). Is semperi even in the pet trade?

Got Erpeton around here. I see them now and then. No idea how you would keep them.

Both Erpeton and Acrochordus are doable but tricky. I looked semi-seriously into keeping the former several years ago, and I think you mostly keep it in water with some sticks it can hang itself off of and feed it fish. Acrochordus I looked up the methods once, but I don't remember anything about it.
I really hope Hydrophis semperi isn't in the pet trade, since it could get endangered really fast.

All these years and I never knew there were fully aquatic "fresh" water snakes. I like the look of Acrochordus granulatus.
