Impressive. Now you know someones gonna ask.
So I'll be the first. What happened to all the appendages? How did it lose so many.

And how many molts di it take to get them all the right size.?

I got him from the pet store that way. I know I know, I shouldnt have. But i really did want to see how he would survive and how long it would take. IT only took one molt. He was in pre-molt for a long time. But its pretty cool. He also used his legs as he would pedipalps to eat.

Its easy for them to grow back a lost limb. It regenerates a few molts behind. Than the limb slowly comes back to catch up with the others. I didnt think he would be able to grow back everything that was lost, but he sure did. i just wanted the pedipalps to come back.
I sure am happy he has all his limbs now.

The awesome thing about this that all the new legs and pedipalps seem as good as new. Most regeneration cases I saw (all of them were 1 limb), the new leg was thinner, and more pale than the others. Took more than 1 molt to fully regenerate. This Avi has some spirit! :)
