So My 8 year old Herman's tortoise used to be located in my room but I moved her to our family room and now there seems to be what I can assume are fruit flies. How do I get rid of them? Thank you.

Hi Ryan2. At the pet store i work at we have red footed tortoises that had the same problem. the thing i would do around the enclosure is to get a bowl of apple cider vinigar and cover it with plastic wrap and punch holes with a toothpick. after the first day we got several fruit flies

There are multiple options. you could use those sticky straps things that have glue and attract flies. Or you could get a carnivorous plant that basically does the same thing.

If you have standing food in there for more than a day, it will draw them, u will have a fight each day. Did u feed it something different that drew them? Or maybe you have some older bananas or apples that drew them and then went to live with your pet.
