I thought this little guy deserved a treat and completely by chance I found a baby gecko snooping around the frog tank. No prizes for guessing what happened next. This time the supposedly more primitive animal won.

Here's hoping it wasn't carrying any of the parasites that wild reptiles are prone to.

(Also how does a frog swallow down something that big without choking to death? {D )

:} What a pig!
I bet the gecko was still wriggling inside the frog after it had been eaten, I used to have albino garters and the goldfish would do that for afew minutes afterward.

Lol you fed goldfish to your garter snakes? Weird choice of food IMO. Goldfish contain an enzyme that breaks down Thiamine (a vital vitamin) in animals' bodies. This is the very same reason fishkeepers with large predatory fish (including me) avoid using feeder goldfish.

Yep i know now that it was a bad idea. I fed them rosie reds, guppies, goldfish, minnows, and tadpoles. This was 10-12years ago when i had only been keeping snakes for afew years, there were not all of these on-line caresheets/forums, and albino garters were still pretty new. I only kept them for afew months then traded them off for something else.

Yeah frogs are by far the greediest pets I've ever had...even my dog pales in comparison!
