i have a 3" grey tree frog i caught last summer and really enjoy it as a pet.

i'm thinking of taking her out of the 5 gallon tank and into a 20 long, but am considering getting some other amphibians as tank mates.

is there another species of frog/toad i can keep with her (at room temps) and not have to worry about cannibalism?

i was considering tomato frogs, but all the care sheets i read on them are conflicting so i don't really know how easy they are to care for...and i was also considering chubby toads b/c i know those are mega easy to care for, but just wondering...

is mixing species safe? will i have to worry about cannibalization?

any other species you guys would recommend for a terrarium with a tree frog?

firebelly toads
green tree frogs

thats all as far as frogs and toads I know, but some other species should get along well as long as you keep enough space and don't overcrowd.

Brown or Green Anoles
Emperor newts
A rough green snake

I currently keep two green tree frogs, a gray tree frog, and a brown anole together in a 40 breeder. I will probably add another anole and a rough green snake at some point, maybe a pair of fire belly toads.

Cool, you should convert it to a vertical as grey tree frogs are arboreal.

No, there is not. You shouldn't mix species of frogs/toads for many different reasons. Go to a dedicated frog forum and ask them about species mixing, see what responses you get...they won't be pretty.

Both are fun species when housed in their own enclosures.

Cannibalism is a possibility, as well as problems stemming from skin toxicity, deaths from stress, as well as pathogens (most frogs and toads available in the pet trade are wild caught)

Other gray tree frogs, isopods, and plants would make your terrarium a lot of fun!
