I wouldn't

I wouldn't house a Tokay with anything other than another Tokay. I would be more concerned with the Tokay biting the beardie than vice versa.

Go to kingsnake.com and click on "caresheets". Here you'll find an article about the best pet reptiles (one of which is the bearded dragon) and another article about the worst pet reptiles (one of which is the Tokay gecko). They're both very informative.

Good luck with them. I love my beardies, but I've never kept Tokays. They're reputation is one of being beautiful and very mean.

The pet shop owner is an idiot. Not only do they have VERY different husbandry needs and there is absolutely no way to set up an enclosure that is appropriate for both...Tokays are f'in psychotic, and it will probably rip your beardie apart. I've seen accounts of Tokays doing things like biting an owner's gloved hand and not letting go of the glove for SIX HOURS. The guy managed to get his hand out of the glove, but I think he was still bleeding.
