Stopped by a friend's house on Sunday with a piece of black velveteen and my camera. Got some decent shots, though I'm still learning the new camera. He has some really nice animals, though, and I can't wait until spring when a bunch of stuff comes out of cooling.

Top to bottom: Crotalus molossus, Crotalus molossus, Heloderma suspectum, juvenile Pituophus d. deppei, Crotalus durissus vegrandis, Tropidophis melanurus, Corallus caninus, Alsophis cantherigerus.

Cheers,
Dave

Cuban racer -- Alsophis cantherigerus. I've edited my post to include ID on all of them ... kind of bone headed to forget to include them in the first place.

Cheers,
Dave

Yeah, it is a beautiful snake. Judging by a picture I snapped where it was stretched the whole way across my background material, I would say it is 3 feet long -- maybe an inch or two more. The babies are TINY though .. fortunately they will apparently eat a very large meal for their size.

Cheers,
Dave
