Hello, my friend came to me asking advice about her beardie but I don't have any experience with them so I figured I'd ask here. She just came back from a trip and figured he would be a bit dehydrated, so she gave him some water. Soon after he regurgitated everything she had given him, and is also dry heaving and acting sluggish and overly sleepy. On top of that, his beard, stomach, side, tail, and legs are all black, a color she had never seen on him. He is a 7 year old beardie. She intends on bringing him to the vet if she doesn't see any improvement, but I'm wondering if anyone could give any advice on the matter. Thanks.

Why did she think it would be dehydrated? Did she leave it for an extended period of time without water or anybody to look after it?

Now that the problem has presented itself it might improve...or it might die. Taking it to the vet immediately rather than taking a "wait and see" approach is really the best advice you could give her.

I'm assuming he recovered, because she didn't tell me he died or anything. I'm not sure what the circumstances where behind her leaving him, or how long she left him for, or what condition she left him in.
