Fresh Molt!

Ok...so it can't molt, but you don't get much fresher than this. 4 hours old.


She had a pretty rough start this morning, her mama couldn't have her on her own and I had to pull her. Once we got past the first life or death hurtle her mom didn't want her and we had to bottle feed her. The vet had to come out and do a little intervention so hopefully mom will warm up to the little one and I won't end up with a bottle baby. She quickly became an expensive little rescue looking for a home.

We have to find her and mama a home so the rule is no name. Of course as soon as the kids got home from school and saw her she got named.
They call her Tasha.

Its an epidemic!

Thankfully this mother had no problems and had baby all on her own. Its a good thing too, because after yesterday I have aching muscles I didn't even know I had. I thought getting my boots on this morning was a great accomplishment.

Awwwww she's absolutely adorable! My mom lives with her bf on a ranch where they house horses that are bred for racing stock - they just had a bunch of babies and there was one still in the barn when we visited last wknd. The rest were off being - u know what'd lol. This little guy was soooooo gorgeous I just wanted to pick him up and squeeze him and love him and call him George!

Mama of the paint is halflinger and ? , daddy is a black and white tobiano paint. Mama of the second one is a big bay QH, appalloosa cross and daddy is unknown.
I don't run a rescue, its sort of a one time deal. About 5 left that need homes.
