So, I received a C hati hate for free ("free".... weren't we just talking about this? LoL)
I already searched, see they like to burrow when they're young (this one is), they're certainly pretty, etc, etc, etc ..
I guess this is for those that already have one... should I keep it?

Lucky Ducky! Awesome species, fairly reclusive and unproblematic. Moist sub in an arboreal/fossorial mix enclosure works great. They will burrow and even like to do so as adults, although they also enjoy some vertical climbing surfaces as well. Cork tubes sticking out of the sub are perfect for them.

well I'm not personally experienced with either, to be honest. Pokies & Avics are my thing, though I did entertain a slew of terrestrials prior to realizing I prefer arboreals. And I've only ever received terrestrials as "freebies" (I was just talking about this with someone here recently). This time I finally got an arboreal as a "freebie," which is a plus, but I honestly didn't expect this seller to be the type to include such things, so I didn't specifically request NO "freebies." Watched a couple videos of them last night...they are pretty. Might grow it up a bit, & trade it to a local for something else, or store credit. I don't know that I'm particularly interested in expanding beyond my two favored genus'.
Thank you, I appreciate your input sincerely.

I have one now and I have had one in the past and they are a lot of fun. They are not a beginner species, but if you feel comfortable, go for it!

Poecilotheria, & Avivularia are my two favorites.
Fair enough, do you good to get a digger in then 😆
You could turn this into a teaching/learning thread about keeping little one! Your experience may help others that don't have as much experience as you but find themselves in the same situation 😊
You've already said you how you got floofer can now keep updating with your next steps, research, any bits you found interesting, set up and progress, a basic how to when your sent a sling as a freebie your that's not in your comfort zone. I should imagine it happens quite alot to newer keepers that don't know to write no freebie or only nw please in the comments box 🤷🏻‍♀️
Just a thought.

It's a great idea, to be sure.... I'll mull it over; I've never done a real thread here like that

I hope you do, as I said it could help others in the future and its a great way for you to be able to see little ones progress all in 1 spot 😊
If you decide to please tag me I would love to see too 😆 I like reading sling progress stories on here especially if they are a bit less formal 😊
