They look like nothing more than ordinary hybrid Koi, perhaps with some unusal markings on the head. You can see the fish's real eyes on the side. I bet up close and in real life the "face" isn't so convincing.

No I believe the fish have developed the faces as a defense against any predators. Since any animal basically should avoid humans at all cost I think with such faces shown in the front not even white sharks would dare eat those little fishies...!! Yeah... that must be it!

They remind me of the fish from the opening of Monty Python's The Meaning of Life

That was the best image I could find, but if you look closely, or have seen the movie, you'll see what I mean.
That is weird. I wont be sleeping tonite. I agree with reptillian. It does look like a hoax.

Some of you people are too easily freaked out, unless "freaked out" means "find somewhat interesting" {D

I suppose the "faces" (honestly, I had to squint to really see the markings as faces) could have been computer generated, but what's the point? I mean, if you're going to go to all the trouble to make fish look like they have human face, than you really should go out and make the faces clear and indisputable.

These look like nothing more than typical, garden pond variety ornamental Koi that happen to have some unusual markings on the head. I work part time in a garden pond store, and believe me I've seen stranger looking fish. These fish have been bred for hundreds of years for various colors and patterns. You think there's a lot of different corn snake morphs? Hah! There are litterally hundreds of NAMED koi varieties, some of which sell for thousands of dollars. It wouldn't surprise me if the "face" variety had a name!
