I tried to lure a cricket over to my G.rosea. Anyway the cricket ran up to the T and the T freaked out an ran to the other side of her enclosure. I didn't see any liquid on her fangs and boy am I glad she didn't hurt herself if possible.

While a T CAN get startled by a bug hopping on top of it, I wouldn't think they are actually afraid of it. There are times though when I put in a cricket that is too large for the spiderlings to take when I think they might be afraid to tackle it.

I think it is most likely that either your T has been startled or that it is simply not hungry or even getting ready to go into a molt.

yeah, I wouldnt worry - just take the crick out or leave it in over night then remove it.

My rosea hasnt eaten for weeks now, I dont know if she is going to molt or if she just isnt hungry. She looks healthy enough so I guess dont worry, they will eat when they are ready.

I throw a crick in maybe once a week but she just either goes into a threat position or runs away from it.

Like I said - dont worry if they are hungry they will eat :)

cheers,

Stu.

Well I'm certain my blue femur is not getting ready for a molt since its abdomen is somewhat small and its abdomen is not bald or has darkened. well any ways have a nice day

Small abdomen as in recently molted or just not eating?
When I hear "small abdomen" I figure there is the possibility
of dehydration. What size is your critter? Does it have a water dish? Do you mist? Some people say misting is a waste of time, but I have watched my critters especially the arboreals lick up the
moisture from the sides of their enclosures.

hey yeah I am aware of that. My first impression is that it was dehydrated but it didn't seam thirsty(it gots a water dish). I got my blue femur two days ago from cronoss and i made the right enclousure for it recommended by some members here and other places. my little guy is 3" showing the nice blue color in the light. I dont belive pulcherrimaklassi is an arboreal but it does climb the walls alot. well any ways hope it eats soon. and have a nice day

Geo,
My pulcherimaklassi is not a really aggressive feeder either, first it runs from the cricket but then it usually turns and eats the cricket.
