Hi all,

I've been searching the net to see if I can find out what this beetle is.

I found it in Turkey, unfortunately it had drowned in a swimming pool. It's about 2.5-3 inches long with a wingspan of around 3.5-4 inches.

Any ideas?

It is a Cerambycid of some sort but beyond that I have no clue. Female I would guess. If you can close down the elytra and post a good top shot it might help.

Hi myrmecophile,

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I had thought it was some kind of longhorn too - hadn't managed to find an image of anything close to it though.

Afraid that these are the only images I managed to get - I'm back home in the UK now.

Cheers, Rich
