Found a fuzzy green monster Luna!

This one was a bit of a trick to work with as it was warming up on the launch pad (berber carpet ) but the shots I did get were great. Let it go afterwards and it took off like a big butterfly...

If i didnt know better I would have said that it was a made up or photoshopped Butterfly...... but i do know better and may i say W-O-W!

Thanks guys. I feel priviledged to have spotted one like that in such easy reach of both me and my camera. It was kinda lethargic until I disturbed it. Must not have woken up yet. After that it did the vibrating wings thing that moths do prior to takeoff so I figured I better snap some shots quickly. Quite the strong insect. It flapped like a drunken seagull when I was trying to get it out of the house to set it free. After that it took off like a bird and was gone in 10 seconds.
