Someone mentioned taking their B. smithi out and watching Animal Planet with them.

What about the rest of you who like to hold your Ts?

How long do you usually keep them out and what's the longest you've intentionally had them out?

I wish I could do that. Bungee's completely non-threatening and has a good temperment, but mellow he ain't. He likes to jog and jump. I'd never let him explore without my constant supervision because there are too many places for him to get lost if he suddenly decided that my body was not a place he wanted to be anymore.

Grey legs, huh? The last time Bungee had grey legs he molted shortly thereafter. :D

Cool, Mine just molted a week ago. Mine is starting to get adult colors. KelliH told me that you start noticing the difference between this species and others when they start to go into the juv phase. Mine is 2" and the colors change. SHe has a nice metallic red on her rump and grey legs...I don't think she will molt though since she molted a week ago. Any ways

have a nice day

My first Chilean rose, when I got up the noive, I held her for about 5 minutes the very first time and the next time I had a hard time putting her down. About an hour or so. Now I hold some T for maybe 15 minutes to a half hour.

I generally don't handle my Ts all that long, but the first time I ever chatted on this site I was holding one of my fem H. lividum, had her out for ~ 2 hours. Contrary to what you might expect, once she settled down she pretty much just sat there doing nothing the whole time.

In the summer I used to take my little rosie to my BF's outdoor hockey games. He would just settle down on my shirt and just sit there. Many ppl passing buy would ask questions and learn something about the "big spider" on my shirt. I took him to the pet store everytime I would go in. :-]

A tarantula in your armpit? I don't think I want to know. But, that sure is a story to tell the grandkids. =D

As for my longest, G. pulchra - 10 minutes.
