Dear Tleilaxu,

One springtail culture "died off" overnight.Since I suspected either chemical or contagious contamination I put new springtails in the container to see whether they would "die off" in the same way...but they didn't.

What could have happened?

Most perplexedly yours,

I wish my springtails would die off. I had them in my turtle tank from the wood, and now I have them in one of my branchiopod tanks.

Whats up with that website popups saying its going to access my email?

That is swoot!

If you want to collect browser info, try sitemeter.com. Its free and doesnt need to access your visitors email account.

Heres just one of the things it does for a page

Oh good lord what did I get myself into LOL. I am sorry to say I know next to nothing about these guys, they came in on logs I collected and found the turtle tank to their liking. Population of "my" spring tails is also going down.... I have no clue why nor really care since I have no interest. I am sorry again for not being able to give yoo more info.

Dear iturnrocks:

Baby mantids start out small. The smallest species NEED SPRINGTAILS.
So do the tiniest tarantula hatchlings...and so do some others. Please
advertise your spare springtails. They can be packed in moist material:
the packing is crucial because fragile invertebrates should be neither crushed by too tight packing nor thrown into the "walls" that they may be injured upon if their packaging is too skimpy to cushion them.

These are rather delicate bodies.

Package them CAREFULLY.

Care really pays.

How does one go about collecting springtails? Whenever I try to suck one up a pipette, they jump. Without pouring them out of the tank, whats the best way to collect them?

Also, whats a minimum quantity worth selling?
