I feed at least once a week, any longer than that, I think is child abuse.

As much as they will eat.....I usually add a few (3-4 depending on size) crix and then add 1 or 2 once they are finished or even the next night and then again the next night if the T seems 'restless'. Assuming I am feeding appropriated sized food and a molt is not expected, I think having a crix (or 2) running around in the cage is not going to cause any harm. Usually I just fish out any uneaten crix the next morning.

Once my numbers got up over a hundred T's, I starting feeding weekly. I give them anywhere from 1 to 6 crickets depending on size/appetite/molt cycle. Usually the next day, I fish out the uneaten crickets and redistribute them to the ones that will still eat. I keep a log on every tarantula and monitor their feeding so I can tell who ate what when. This also allows me to estimate their molts based on their eating habits.
I also hope to use the data to notice trends over the life of a tarantula as I've got a group of P. murinus I've raised from eggsac to present.
I water 2 to 3 times per week.
By the way, yes it does take a while. I spend at least an hour a night with my spiders and on watering nights, it takes a minimum of 2 hours to just finish watering, not to mention any cleaning/handling. All told, I probably spend about 10 - 12 hours per week on my spiders.

I usually feed my T's twice a week, and I check the water dish and/or spray the enclosures every other day or so.

I feed small slings more often than the larger stock. I don't know that it is necessary, but it makes me feel better. I feed the larger stock once a week. I've got over 300 total now and to feed/water the whole lot at one time takes me around 4 hours. I'm sure I could do it quicker if I had to, but I like to take my time. I will often pair up my breeders when I start and then separate them once they are done. They usually make enough noise when the breeding commences to get my attention.
