Who keep asking "When will my Haplopelma lividum start to turn blue?"
Actually, I think they are too high on the legs to be considered as "stockings." I'd probably think of them as blue spandex shorts.Originally posted by MizM
So, they start with the little blue stockings!! What cuties!!!
Thanks John - I've started to experiment a bit more with background scenery, makes a big difference to arboreal shots especially.Originally posted by LaRiz
Lopez,
Very nice pics! I look forward to seeing more of your critters here. Great representations of the species!

Right on! I hear you on that one! I bought Inuleki one as a gift under the retext it is NEVR brought out when I'm home. And he feeds it in the spider/cat room with the door closed. And if it ever escapes, I will be on vacation until it is returned to it's cage!Originally posted by nemesis6sic6
It's all cool I might be chicken to have an H.lividum but I get the blues with my A. versicolor and my E. pulcherrimaklassi and yeah you keep your H.lividums and have a nice day

Hmmmmmmmm......is this just a spiderling/juvenile trait? Luci is a sub-adult and the only markings on her opisthosoma are chevron markings, well they're not there now because she's gone bald there and it's swelling. But she does have dark chevron markings on creamish white hairs.Originally posted by Palespider
It's even better when their abdomens start showing blue. Mine didn't show blue on it's abdomen until around 4-4.5".
Great pics by the way!
