There has been this effin cricket at work that chirps all damn day long in the elevator shaft across the hallway from my office. I came in this morning, came up the stairs and seen the little bastard come out of the elevator shaft and start walking down the hallway. It seen me and stopped, then went left and I ran left. It took a sharp right and I dove for it and it jumped in the air and flew down the hallway! I never seen a crick fly before, is this normal? Anyway I chased it down and smacked it in midair, it hit the wall and died. I will post pics when I get home.

Was it black?, if so =field cricket and they fly great.

However, to kill a field cricket is extremely bad luck...{D

Field crickets are black with orangish wings. Could mabye be a mole cricket? I've witnessed feeder crickets fly on rare occassions too!

Flying Crickets

Most winged crickets can fly very well. Including the feeder grey crickets, provided they are sufficiently warm.
