Found this pair of flies mating and decided to snap a picture. Does anyone care to identify them?

Knowing the location it was spotted and approx. size would help. To me they look like some kind of stilt-legged fly, maybe in the Rainieria genus but I'm far from deeply knowledgeable about flies. I would assume in the family Micropezidae/sub-family Taeniapterinae, though. Play around on google; there are many similar looking species if you look up "stilt legged fly." This pic, for example, looks similar (though definitely not identical).

GREAT photo, by the way :)

Thanks for the tentative identification and the compliment. I'm in Singapore. Does this narrow it down? :)

Thanks everyone else for the comments too.

Singapore definitely helps. Unfortunately individual pictures of each species are hard to find; I do know that Nestima fragilis is one of the stilt fly species first ID'd in Singapore, but there are a ton of stilt fly species throughout the entire region and more than 470 sp overall. If you want to do some additional sleuthing or think you can find ID pics at least by genus to narrow it down, this site is very helpful!

Thanks for the link! I'm not really that zealous about identifying the fly though, lol.

This is very irresponsible! Did you even consider the consequences of posting these obscene pictures? All these children keep flying around my house, imitating what they've seen!
